My Sweet Valentine

In this PSP tutorial I used the beautiful artwork of Alicia Mujica
available for purchase at AliciaMujicaDesigns
Anyone wishing to use the same image in their own personal creation
MUST have the proper license for that image
PTU Scrapkit called Fall Blush by Kathy's PSP Designs
Thank you Kathy! ♥

*I was excited about playing with this kit as I love the colours
and incorporating it into a Valentine tag was a Bonus.*

Using filters Unlimited - Render - Clouds - foreground/background - default setting
Apply this filter to the pink heart.
Change blend mode to 'lighten'

Select the peach heart copy layer
using Eyecandy 5 - Nature Glass with these settings:

On the original peach heart layer (below the open above)
use Effects - texture effects - antique mosaic default settings
lower opacity to 34.

Select pink heart layer
open MySweetValentine Word art supplied above
C/P above pink heart
change blend mode to soft light, duplicate

Select black heart template
select all - float, defloat, modify selection

find word art layers - invert & delete on both layers. Deselect
Select pink heart layer, float & defloat

Open main tube, resize 25% C/P
Apply same Adjust brightness/contrast - Levels

Now to customize your tag,
add elements of choice
I supplied a cut out of one the pink flowers
Feel free to use the original or the cutout supplied

I made additional hearts to decorate the tag
Use the PreShape tool to draw out a black heart
using black as background colour, fore colour closed
draw out 3 different heart shapes each on their own layer
Select each - float, defloat & paste a paper into the selection on a new layer.
Use 3 different papers.
Add a inner bevel to these hearts as below:

Here are my heart shapes if you like:

Be creative decorating your tag
Add element 44 - 75%
change colour to white using brightness/contrast 255/0
element 21 - 75%, duplicate twice & resize each
element 23 cutout - 25%, duplicate as many as needed
element 4 - 35%
element 29 - 35%
element 30 - 35 to 40% rotate 25 degrees to left
element 62 - 50%, duplicate mirror
element 73 - 50%, duplicate and move side by side
element 75 - 40%
I colourized element 75 by select all, float, defloat
adding a new raster layer & filling with a soft pink colour
#f7d8d7, change blend mode to 'hard light'

Drop shadow any elements not already shadowed
using your favourite setting.
If you wish to resize tag, do so now before adding copyright.

Add copyright, license, url & name
For name, I used two similar colours as foreground/background
and selected linear gradient 45 degrees, no repeat.
Be sure this gradient is your background colour. close off foreground.
Add your favourite bevel and a 2 px white border, merged together
D/S

Close or delete white background layer
Merge visible, crop 'merged opaque'
and save as a PNG.

* * * * *

It may seem like a lot of steps to create this tag
but adding custom elements makes it unique to you.
Changing colour tones & brightness/contrast is purely
subjective. Have fun with this.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
I would dearly love to see your results.

xoxo
